United States President Obama Seeks Relationships with Brazil for Biofuel |
| January 30, 2009 – San Francisco, CA; During a phone call on Jan. 26, 2009, President Obama expressed to his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, that he believes it is possible for Brazil and the United States to develop a partnership in biofuels, which would benefit both countries. Long before President Obama’s call to his Brazilian counterpart, REEM09, was organized based on this very platform: that the United States can benefit from the renewable energy technologies in some emerging markets and vice versa. | |
